Cyclohexaneacetic acid is recognized as an intermediate of the metabolism of n-alkylcyclohexanes (nACH) in microorganisms. Cyclohexaneacetic acid can be transformed to monohydroxycyclohexaneacetic acids in two Chlorella pyrenoidosa strains[1].
